Working with community members in Simanjiro, TNRF, UCRT and Resource Africa UK teamed up to produce a film about climate change in Tanzania. Climate Change.TV is holding its 2011 video contest, and "The World has Malaria" is one of the films in the running.

On Friday, August 5th, Action Aid and partners announced the official launch of the "Tanzania Land Portal." The portal is a platform of information on issues related to land in Tanzania, and aims to aggregate all information on land matters in the country to make it easily available to all interested parties.

Dr. Jane Goodall, a primatologist, conservationist and UN Messenger of Peace, visited Arusha on July 21 to celebrate 50 years of her work. She shared the film, “Jane’s Journey,” a documentary about her life, her work and her passion for seeking positive change in our world today.

On June 22, Ezekiel Maige, Minister of Natural Resoures and Tourism, informed the World Heritage Center that the Government of Tanzaniawill not construct a tarmac road through Serengeti National Park. The letter, titled “State of Conservation of Serengeti National Park,” also states that the GoT is “seriously considering” the construction of a road that runs south of NCA and SNP connecting Mugumu to Arusha.
