“Road will not dissect Serengeti”

On June 22, Ezekiel Maige, Minister of Natural Resoures and Tourism, informed the World Heritage Center that the Government of Tanzaniawill not construct a tarmac road through Serengeti National Park. The letter, titled “State of Conservation of Serengeti National Park,” also states that the GoT is “seriously considering” the construction of a road that runs south of NCA and SNP connecting Mugumu to Arusha.
