Dr. Jane Goodall Celebrates 50 Years at Gombe

Gombe 50

Dr. Jane Goodall, a primatologist, conservationist and UN Messenger of Peace, visited Arusha on July 21 to celebrate 50 years of her work.  She shared the film, “Jane’s Journey,” a documentary about her life, her work and her passion for seeking positive change in our world today.

TNRF hosted the event at the Arusha Hotel.  Approximately 250 people attended the event, all wanting to meet Dr. Goodall, listen to her stories and watch her film.  It seemed only fitting that Dr. Goodall visited Arusha to celebrate her achievements, as Tanzania is where her journey began 50 years ago.
