Mama Misitu Workshop for Media

Members of the media have been invited to attend an informational workshop on the Mama Misitu forestry governance campaign. The goal of the workshop is to initiate a network of media specialists to provide a coordinated approach to Mama Misitu's communications through print media, radio and television.

TNRF Internal Review and Strategic Planning Meeting

A meeting of the TNRF Steering Committee, Secretariat and advisors to review progress to date in achieving TNRF's 2007-2008 Strategy, and begin to develop TNRF's strategy for 2009-2011.

The outcome of this meeting will be presented to the Annual General Assembly of members on 10th October 2008.

Implementation approach workshop of Mama Misitu campaign

TNRF will be facilitating a workshop on the implementation approach of Mama Misitu campaign. The Mama Misitu campaign is a follow up work of a report submitted by TRAFFIC who were conmmissioned by the Government of Tanzania and supported by the Developmemt Partners Group. The workshop will run for a full day on Thursday 14th August 2008 with its parners (NGOs) who are the implementors of the campaign with support from the TNRF campaign unit based in Dar Es Salaam.

Pastoralist Task Force members to attend a Parliamentary Session in Dodoma on the Livestock sector budget

The Task Force partners led by PINGOs Forum has been invited to attend a two day parliamentary session when the livestock budget shall be discussed.This follows a successful lobbying and presentation to MPs and the Minister for Livestock the challenges affecting livestock sector and pastoralists especially after Ihefu eviction.
