TNRF Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting is the most important event in TNRF's calendar. It is an annual opportunity for TNRF members to:

• Learn more about TNRF's programmes and activities;
• Receive reports from the Steering Committee and Secretariat on their work;
• Express their views about the performance of their organisation - particularly that of the Secretariat and Steering Committee;
• Debate and approve TNRF's forthcoming programme of work as presented by the Secretariat;
• Nominate and elect new and standing members of the Committee;
• Review and approve key constitutional ammendments for improving the functioning and accountability of TNRF.

The meeting is also open to non-members who are very welcome to participate in the meeting. Non-members may not vote in TNRF elections. Non-members should also be aware that, for administrative reasons, they cannot join TNRF on the day of the Annual General Meeting (10th October 2008).

Confirmation of Attendance

Members are kindly requested to confirm their participation by Monday, 6th October 2008 in order to assist the TNRF Secretariat in preparations. Members may confirm via email (info@tnrf.org) or by phone (+255 755 022267).

Additional Issues for Debate

Members may send in important issues to be added to the agenda for debate under the "Any Other Business" agenda item. Issues should be received by the Secretariat by 6th October in order to manage the length of the meeting. Please send issues to info@tnrf.org.

Member Identification

No invitation letter or member identification card is needed on the day of the meeting. Members will be identified by name and by email address. Please remember that non-members are most welcome, although they may not vote, as per the TNRF constitution.

Assistance to Students

Students are encouraged to attend. The cost of return bus fare is available to full-time students at Tanzanian universities. To apply, please send a scanned letter from your department or Dean of Students verifying that you are a full-time student to info@tnrf.org.

The programme for the TNRF Annual General Meeting will be available from the beginning of October, together with updates about Steering Committee nominations and elections, and proposed changes to TNRF's constitution provided closer to the Annual General Meeting.
