TNRF is seeking to a dynamic and skilled Macro-Economic Policy and Environment Programme Officer, who will be responsible for managing TNRF's engagement with the MKUKUTA, MKURABITA and other macro-economic and environment policy linkages. Responsibilities:To take the lead in facilitating TNRF's involvement in the implementation of the MKUKUTA and the development of MKURABITA particularly in regard to environment and sustainable livelihoods issues. The post will require close collaboration with TNRF's partners, members and secretariat team, working with the TNRF Secretariat and supporting TNRF's objectives and overall work plan; MKUKUTA• To work with civil society partners - particularly the Policy Forum - in monitoring and following the implementation of the MKUKUTA, the Poverty Monitoring System (PMS) and annual Public Expenditure Reviews (PERs);• To work to secure appropriate opportunities for TNRF to make inputs into these processes; • To enable TNRF to make appropriate inputs into the MKUKUTA, PMS and PER processes by informing and educating TNRF members and facilitating their participation;• To collaborate with TNRF partners in developing appropriate information dissemination and awareness-raising about the MKUKUTA, PMS and PER on key issues impacting on the environment and sustainable rural livelihoods. MKURABITA• To work within an established civil society framework in reviewing and making inputs into the development of the MKURABITA;• To enable TNRF to make appropriate inputs into the MKURABITA development processes by informing and educating TNRF members and facilitating their participation;• To collaborate with TNRF partners in developing appropriate information dissemination and awareness-raising about the MKURABITA on key issues impacting on the environment, land and sustainable rural livelihoods. Qualifications:TNRF is looking for a hard working and dynamic team member who has the following qualities and skills:• A good understanding of land tenure theory and macro-economic-environment linkages; • A strong set of analytical and writing skills;• Experience in facilitating consultative processes and meetings;• A self-starter willing to take initiative, be self-evaluative and learn quickly;• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills;• Computer literate;• Ability and willingness to work in a multi-disciplinary environment;• A good communicator, and fluent in Swahili and English, both spoken and written. Duty Station:The position is based in Arusha. The successful applicant will be entitled to support for moving to Arusha from their current location. Remuneration:Salary will be based on experience and salary history, and is likely to start on TNRF's published pay scale 2 (USD 1,200 - 2,000 per month), occupational insurance, 26 days per year paid leave and other benefits.
