Position Summary: The position will be for a full time Administrator/Office Manager, with responsibilities shared between The Honeyguide Foundation and Sokwe Asilia Guide Training Programme. The position is to run the Honeyguide Foundation and Guide Training Programme efficiently including analyzing and organizing office operations and procedures, and includes coordinating all education and outreach activities for HGF projects, including conservation and natural resource management education General• Monitoring and evaluating the performance of the program and communicating achievements and challenges to relevant authorities and to the management board• Timely program performance progress reporting as appropriate• Developing program work plan and coordinate its implement as appropriate.• Performing any other duties as may be assigned. Project Administration and Finance• Preparation of work plans and budgets reports and accounts.• Advise the Project Director on all administration matters.• Schedule meetings, appointments, Project visits and other important issues.• Maintain office filing systems.• Maintain bank accounts and inventory records • Maintenance of financial systems and accounts, monitor the financial performance of each project.• Develop and review annual and monthly budgets. Honeyguide Foundation - Education and outreach• Produce educational material for environmental conservation and natural resource management • Organize village and governmental trainings on poverty reduction, environmental conservation and natural resource management.• Supervise the community liaison personnel and educational coordinators.• Managing the HGF outreach projects for the purpose of achieving the intended objectives• Coordinating and linking project activities with relevant government departments and Civil Society organizations. Sokwe-Asilia - Guide Training Project• Planning and management of all guide files• Planning of all training and evaluation exercises ( both self-learning and group learning) • Compiling examination reports • Perform the frequent self-learn formative assessments• Upkeep of database of guides in the market• Administration of the library and learning centre• Administration and logistics for the self-learning program (ensure guides in the field receive regular materials and assessment).• Identify workshops and training opportunities for GTP• Coach guides on all research projects• Identify trainers for each syllabus and training exercise. Qualifications/Education • Bachelors degree or Advanced Diploma in Administration/ Education or relevant subject• Excellent computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office• Knowledge of basic accounting and some experience of working with budgets• Ability to work independently, as well as in a team• Excellent interpersonal skills• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Kiswahili languages• High sense of responsibility and excellent organizational skills• Enthusiastic, determined and hardworkingA proven history in development projects management, with at least two years experience
