REDD Learning Event
The main goals of this learning event are to hear from the REDD field implementing partners about their field experience and to begin a dialogue on future collaboration. Ideally, the session will result in the following:
1. Draw lessons from each other
2. Develop a shared vision of areas of concern and areas where collaboration will be useful
3. Determine a method for future and ongoing collaboration
As it is a learning event we hope to have a lot of ideas that will assist in developing advocacy issues especially on related issues of cost and benefit sharing and the scalling up of PFM in Tanzania.
We are requesting the REDD implemenation partners to make short presentations to share their field experiences thus far. All the presentations will be made in the morning and after lunch we will have group discussions where we will come up with some recommendations for the future.
This meeting is basicslly for the REDD implementing partners. We have very limited facilities at the hotel to accomodate all Forest Working Group Members. We were interested in bringing in media people but we cannot manage that. If you really need to participate in this meeting please send a request and it will be considered. If you see that you have not received any reply by the Friday 1st of October please accept our apologies that you could not secure a place to participate.
