REDD Learning Event

The Forest Governance Learning Group is organizing a "REDD learning event," which will likely be held in early October. The event will be an information sharing opportunity, where all organizations involved in the REDD pilot projects in Tanzania will be invited to present on their experiences thus far. Particularly, the theme of the presentations should focus on "governence" related to REDD implementation. It is expected that the learning event will cover the following:

1. Presentations regarding the process REDD projects have followed/using in the implementation of their project,
2. Challenges these projects have been facing, or are still facing, and how they have managed to confront and address these challenges.
3. What support they feel they need, and who do they believe should be providing that support?
4. What do they see as the future of their project?
5. Finally, what issues do they see for the future in relations to sharing of such information and lessons that we have learnt from the time the projects were initiated to the present time.

We expect to invite representative from the REDD Task force and also from relevant ministries that would benefit from this information.
