Pastoralist Livelihoods Task Force updates on research about pastoralist and ranching meat production
The Pastoralist Livelihoods Task Force will meet to receive updates from the research projects on valuing meat production from pastoralist and ranching systems. The research was commissed by the PLTF in 2009 to understand the contribution from both forms of meat production to the national economy. Funded by the International Institute for Environment and Development, Ereto Ngorongoro Pastoralist Project (now finished) and VetAid Tanzania, the partners in the PLTF collaboratively conducted the research.
This meeting will review the findings to date and provide PLTF partners with an opportunity to assess emerging policy messages.
