National Climate Change Hearings

This important event, in the days leading up to UN FCCC CoP 15, will be aimed at profiling and raising awareness on the human impact of climate change in Tanzania. Particular focus will be given to the experiences of small farmers, pastoralist communities, and others that depend on natural resources for their livelihoods.
The event will include a series of testimonials from climate change affected people, along with responses and reflections from a panel of select representatives from government, civil society, academia and others. There will also be a series of cultural activities, and an opportunity for questions and feedback from the general audience.
