BASELINE SURVEY FOR ARDHI YETU PROGRAM II (AYP II)

Tanzania Natural Resource Forum (TNRF) is among three partners implementing “Ardhi Yetu” Program II (AYP II). The Program is funded by CARE International to address land issues and effective climate vulnerability, capacity analysis, sustainable adaptation and resilience by targeted community groups and institutions i.e. Land Right Monitors (LRMs), Loose Coalitions, Women networks and Local authorities.

Baseline Survey For Ardhi Yetu Program

For the period of 7th to 25th August 2018, TNRF organized a baseline survey in collaboration with CARE Tanzania, Hakiardhi and Parakuyo Pastoralists Indigenous Community Development Organization (PAICODEO) purposely to come with initial information; current status before implementation. The collected data will be used as reference for decision making during implementation, regular monitoring, annual, semi-annual and final evaluations.

The baseline exercise covered 8 districts in 5 regions namely; - Iringa, (Mufindi, and Iringa Rural) Mbeya, (Mbarali) Morogoro (Mvomero, and Morogoro Rural) Dodoma (Chemba) and Manyara (Kiteto and Simanjiro). Diverse methods were applied during the survey namely; - Questionnaire, Checklist, Focus group discussion, field observation and literaturereview.
