Tanzania Natural Resource Forum (TNRF) is a member-based network organization. It aims to achieve improved natural resource governance for sustainable rural livelihoods and better conservation outcomes.

Tanzania Natural Resource Forum (TNRF) is implementing an eighteen months project titled Engaging Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) communities and Private Sector (PS) in Advocacy and piloting implementation of the wildlife Corridor Regulations. The goal of this project is to improve wildlife conservation and tourism policy through advocating for policy reforms and piloting the implementation of the new corridor regulation by engaging CSOs, local community institutions, Private Sector and the Government. Through this Project TNRF is expecting to have the following activities;

• Television Talk Show; TNRF together with the Joint Advocacy Taskforce, Tanzania Private Sector Foundation and Tanzania Parliamentarians Friends of Environment (TAPAFE) will have a live television talk show discussing issues related to contribution of tourism sector to the national economy and challenges facing tourism business and investment climate.  The TV talk will be hosted by TBC - Tuambie Program.

Tanzania Natural Resource Forum (TNRF) through the project titled Engaging Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), communities and Private Sector (PS) in Advocacy and piloting implementation of the wildlife Corridor Regulations, held a TV talk show and radio program on TBC1 and TBC Taifa on 25^th and 26^th September 2018 respectively. The shows (TUAMBIE PROGRAM) and TUWEKANE SAWA were aired live for one hour each and provided opportunity for conservation and tourism stakeholders to make phone calls to ask questions and provide recommendations. 

The panelist were members of the Tanzania Parliamentarians Friends of Environment (TAPAFE) Honorable Jitu Soni, Honorable Zainab Katimba and Honorable Esther Matiko. Also Mr. Mosses Ngereza a policy analyst from Tourism Confederation of Tanzania and Mr. Ernest Mwamaja the Director of Marketing from Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB) were present.   

From 17th to 21st September 2018, Tanzania Natural Resource Forum (TNRF) through Land Governance and Accountability Project supported by Welthaus Graz and DKA Austria, conducted training for members of Village Land Councils and Ward Tribunals in Iringa Rural and Chemba Districts. The training was conducted in collaboration with District officials from Land and Legal departments of the respective District. The training also brought on board Ward Executive Officers (WEO), Village Executive Officers (VEO), members of farmers and pastoralists Loose coalition, Land Rights Monitors (LRMs) and UMAKWA (a community Based Organization in Kwamtoro) representatives.

Tanzania Natural Resource Forum (TNRF) in collaboration with Resource Conflict Institute (RECONCILE), International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), Veterinaries San Frontiers (VSF), SOS SAHEL and Coalition of European Lobby on Pastoralism in East Africa (CELEP) are implementing Participatory Rangelands Management Project; a four-year project funded by European Union (EU) through International Land Coalition (ILC). This is a cross border project in Tanzania and Kenya where TNRF is the implementer of the project in Tanzania while RECONCILE pilots the project in Baringo County, Kenya.

The overall objective of the project is to improve the livelihood and nutrition status of pastoralist communities in East Africa by improving the management of rangelands for optimal utilization. Thus, the project work towards attaining security and better use of rangelands and expand the role of women in selected pastoral communities in Kenya and Tanzania.
