Our mission
To assist the government and people of Tanzania in their efforts to conserve and protect the indigenous flora and fauna contained within protected areas.
To involve local people actively in sustainable conservation practices which will help improve their economic condition.
To monitor and provide information about sustainable conservation practices.
How we achieve this
- Actively supporting anti-poaching operations in association with the government of Tanzania.
- Working with local communities to involve them in programmes that lead to the conservation of wildlife.
- Providing direct economic support to communities from the sustainable utilization of wildlife.
- Building a GIS mapping programme for use in ecosystem management
- Building databases so that we can see trends in wildlife in wildlife populations and habitat changes
- Providing crucial feedback to the government of Tanzania on the legal and illegal utilization of wildlife.
- Working with other Non-Governmental Organizations to develop better living and economic conditions for those people living around protected areas.
