Community-based Natural Resource Management Learning Project - All Stakeholders' Workshop

The African Wildlife Foundation has received a grant from the Ford Foundation to implement a project titled "local communities and sustainable natural resources management: new learning about linkages.' The project aims to critically examine and share learning and knowledge on terrestrial CBNRM over the last five years or more in East Africa.

WWF Biofuel Workshop - Initiating a dialogue for national guidelines

WWF is organizing a national workshop to initiate dialogue among interested parties on developing National Guidelines on Biofuel investments in Tanzania. The workshop is planned at Oasis Hotel, Morogoro from 9th to 11th June 2008. This initiative comes as stakeholders recognize that Tanzania has approved a number of biofuel development projects and that globally there are divided ideas on issues related to biofuels investments.

Simanjiro & Lolkisale Wildlife Division & Stakeholder Meeting

Following the successful and very positive and constructive meeting between stakeholders and the Department of Wildlife on Wednesday May 14th at the TNRF Office in Arusha, there will be a follow-up meeting between members of the Wildlife Divison and consumptive and non consumptive stakeholders – Simanjiro and Lolkisale districts scheduled this Wednesday, the 21th of May, at the TNRF office. A map of our new location is also attached.
