TNRF releases Policy Brief on Illegal Logging in partnership with TRAFFIC and Policy Forum

TNRF and Policy Forum have prepared a policy brief on illegal logging in Tanzania for a Policy Forum breakfast debate that was held in Dar es Salaam on 24th May 2007. Breakfast debate audiences generally consist of bilateral and multi-lateral donors together with local and international NGOs. A presentation was given by Mr Simon Milledge which was very well received with lots of questions.

TNRF holds a 2 day workshop to plan an initiative in response to a report illegal logging by TRAFFIC

A two day workshop was held in Dar es Salaam to develop a detailed communications and advocacy proposal in response to a report on illegal logging by TRAAFIC - Milledge, S., Gelvas, I. & Ahrends A. 2006 Forestry, Governance and National Development: Lessons Learned from a Logging Boom in Southern Tanzania. TRAFFIC, MNRT & DPG. The workshop was held as part of the Tanzania Forest Working Group's activities and was funded by GTZ.
