Community-based Tourism Info-Fair, 2007

A special two afternoon info-fair on Community-based Tourism was held on Wednesday and Thursday, 6th - 7th June 2007 at the New Arusha Hotel in partnership with the Karibu Trade Fair. Chaired by Mr Richard Rugimbana (Executive Secretary of the Tourism Confederation of Tanzania), the info-fair provided concise topical seminars, with plenty of opportunity for discussion. There were summary hand-outs and additional take-away information.

TNRF, CRC and Karibu Tourism Trade Fair hold a Community-based Tourism Info-Fair

TNRF together with CRC and the Karibu Tourism Trade Fair held a successful two-afternoon Community-based Tourism Info-Fair on June 6th and 7th to raise awareness about socially and environmentally responsible tourism and why CBT will become a fast growing part of Tanzania's tourism industry. TNRF releases Policy Brief on Illegal Logging in partnership with TRAFFIC and Policy Forum

TNRF and Policy Forum have prepared a policy brief on illegal logging in Tanzania for a Policy Forum breakfast debate that was held in Dar es Salaam on 24th May 2007. Breakfast debate audiences generally consist of bilateral and multi-lateral donors together with local and international NGOs. A presentation was given by Mr Simon Milledge which was very well received with lots of questions.
