Mama Misitu Campaign Launch

The Forestry Working Group has invited Professor Wangari Maathai to launch its advocacy and awareness campaign to improve forest governance and increase community awareness of forest value. Invited guests include members of government, civil society, international development partners and the private sector. The FWG is a collaboration of 17 civil society partners in Tanzania working on forestry issues such as governance, carbon payments, participatory forest monitoring, and biofuel.
