Led by the Kimmage-IIED Pastoralism Project and PINGOs Forum and with support from VetAid Tanzania, the Pastoral Livelihoods Task Force will host a meeting with the Pastoralist Parliamentary Group to discuss current issues affecting pastoralists and to come up with short and long term strategies.
The meeting is part of the PLTF's strategy to improve pastoralist livelihoods through policy advocacy and close engagement with policy makers. The PPG is a coalition of Members of Parliament who represent constituencies with high populations of pastoralists.

We regret to announce the untimely death of Alan Rodgers, after a short illness on 31st March 2009. Alan worked tirelessly to promote conservation in East Africa and India. A full list of his accomplishments would be a long one indeed.
