SAI Consulting Engineers Pvt. Ltd., a leading ISO 9001 certified consulting engineering firm is looking for following professional immediately for various Highway Projects in Tanzania.

An environmental professional graduate in environmental engineering/environmental/planning or equivalent.
He/She must have served in similar capacity on at least 2 road construction projects and implementation of EMP in the past 10 years.
The professional experience should include vast experience in formulation, review and implementation of environmental safeguard documentation for transport projects. Fluency in written and spoken Kiswahili and English mandatory.

Global Change is a 4 months education offered by MS-TCDC Dar es Salaam. It is an intensive course with presentations, exercises and application of tools in real life. The aim is to enable you to plan, analyse and organise any type of campaign for social change. You will gain skills and knowledge within the following areas:
1. Leadership building
2. Project planning
3. Campaigning and event making (including design and innovative thinking)
4. Facilitation of social processes (such as trainings and workshops)
5. Strategic planning and communication (including analysis and lobbying as well as the use of blogging, social media and video)
6. Volunteer mobilisation
7. Public relations and advocacy
8. Fundraising

Breaking the cycle of impoverishment of vulnerable communities in the drylands of Africa is the ultimate goal of this new MA. This is of particular urgency not only because the geographical location of the drylands puts them on the front-line of global climate change, but also because of the acute lack of understanding policy-makers have of the dynamics of drylands livelihood systems.

Commencing Sept 2011, the MA is being offered by Kimmage Development Studies Centre ( www.kimmagedsc.ie ), based in Dublin, Ireland, in collaboration with Sokoine University of Agriculture, Tanzania (www.suanet.ac.tz), with support from Mekelle University, Ethiopia; The University of Nairobi, Kenya, and the International Institute of Environment and Development, UK.
