Civil Society Day on Climate Change

The objectives of the event include bringing together Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) working in Tanzania with climate change issues or on areas of work affected by climate change. In bringing them together the organizers want to create the opportunity for organisations to share experiences, learn from each other, develop an improved understanding of climate change and find ways to combat climate change effects in the country.

Piyaya Village Tourism Management Planning

Piyaya Village of Ngorongoro District will be the first village to develop its Tourism Management Plan ss part of the joint project on tourism management planning that emphasizes community benefits ( The working session will build on a series of workshops and evaluative meetings that have taken place in Piyaya over the past six months.

The dual goals of the working session are to:

National Climate Change Hearings

This important event, in the days leading up to UN FCCC CoP 15, will be aimed at profiling and raising awareness on the human impact of climate change in Tanzania. Particular focus will be given to the experiences of small farmers, pastoralist communities, and others that depend on natural resources for their livelihoods.
