Meeting

The Third and Final Quarterly meeting of members for the year 2010 will be held in Dar es salaam on 25thNovember 2010 in conjunction with the Inauguration of the Open Budget Index Report for 2010. Venue for the meeting and the events will be communicated later.

The main goals of this learning event are to hear from the REDD field implementing partners about their field experience and to begin a dialogue on future collaboration. Ideally, the session will result in the following:

1. Draw lessons from each other
2. Develop a shared vision of areas of concern and areas where collaboration will be useful
3. Determine a method for future and ongoing collaboration

The Forest Governance Learning Group is organizing a "REDD learning event," which will likely be held in early October. The event will be an information sharing opportunity, where all organizations involved in the REDD pilot projects in Tanzania will be invited to present on their experiences thus far. Particularly, the theme of the presentations should focus on "governence" related to REDD implementation. It is expected that the learning event will cover the following:

The TNRF Board and Secretariat will convene for the second part of a strategic planning session related to the RAPID Outcome Mapping Approach (ROMA) "to creating strategies for evidence-based policy influencing."
