Invitation for submission of Concept Note

Organization:
CARE
Deadline:
14 October 2012

CARE Tanzania is an International NGO that works in partnership with others to improve the lives of the less privileged, vulnerable and marginalized communities. CARE Tanzania in collaboration with Tanzania Natural Resource Forum (TNRF) has secured funding from Irish Aid to manage a Pastoralist Programme for building the capacity of Local Civil Society Organizations who in turn will have a role of building the capacity of pastoralist communities to demand and advocate for their rights and needs. The programme's  goal is to "Reduce Poverty and Vulnerability of Pastoralist Communities in Tanzania" while the purpose is to "Advance Pastoralist men and women's right to a sustainable livelihood".

The purpose of this call is to invite local CSOs to develop concept notes for the projects they want to implement addressing capacity building of pastoralists in the areas of land right, conflict resolution, pastoralism and advocacy for recognition of pastoralism as a livelihood. Gender and climate change should be mainstreamed in the implementation strategy for each project. Beneficiaries of the programme are primarily poor pastoralist women and men and children and secondarily staff of the pastoralist CSOs, local and national government institutions who will be intermediaries in capacity building.

Competent implementing organizations are therefore invited to apply by submitting the following documents:

1.       Technical Proposal/concept note, less than five pages cover page included.

2.       Summary Budget/Cost Proposal in major line items
