CEPF has been supporting postgraduate students doing their thesis work in Eastern Arc and Coastal Forests of Kenya and Tanzania. This programme is coming to an end with 26 students from Kenya and Tanzania supported.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism will host a stakeholders' forum in order to furthur review the National Forest Policy of 1998. The invitation letter for the event states that "since the review process is consultative and participatory, a stakeholders' forum is crucial in order to discuss and provide inputs to the zero draft of the revised policy."
