Tanzania Natural Resource Forum (TNRF) is conducting a two day follow-up training (3rd and 4th September 2019) to strengthen the capacity of 20 Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and Private Sector Organizations (PSOs) on policy analysis, collaboration with government, tactics for better engagement and communication, presentation and public speaking skills, effectively package of key message and seeking feedback on the impact made through the engagements.

TNRF have been working with government institutions to ensure that national interests are fulfilled and community get access and benefiting from natural resources in their areas. In 2018 TNRF nurtured 25 CSOs and PSOs dealing with wildlife conservation and tourism business on basic skills on how to engage and collaborate with government institutions in their routinely activities.

This training has brought representatives from;

TNRF as member based organization expects that at the end of the training, members and partners will be able to:

  • Analyze policies to identify policy gaps, proposing solutions and strategize on how to engage and collaborate with partners for the benefit of the nation
  • Have a common understanding of the power of partnership and engagement with  government and its institutions in implementing development projects
  • Develop, implement and monitor their engagement strategy that works in the current environment
  • Package and communicate effective messages especially with high level audiences
