FORESTRY WORKING GROUP MEETING HELD IN DODOMA ON THE 7TH AND 8TH SEPTEMBER 2020.
Tanzania Natural Resource Forum (TNRF) in collaboration with WWF Tanzania organized a Forestry working group meeting be held in Dodoma on the 7th and 8th September 2020. The first day was dedicated to TFWG members and the second day joined by with government stakeholders.
Among the issues that were discussed were to look at all the Timber trade forum meetings and have a glance at the recommendations and lessons learnt. This also included what issues the forum can take onboard by developing information briefs to government stakeholders and DPGs. The TFWG meeting also aimed at bringing forest stakeholders to share lessons and discuss way forward towards improved related forest governance issues in the country. This can include “voices from CSOs/NGOs” which can have some influence to policy makers.
