Tanzania Natural Resource Forum (TNRF) in collaboration with Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) through "Engaging Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), Communities and Private Sector in advocacy" project is conducting a two days advocacy training to twenty-three (23) Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) who are champions in advocating Conservation, Tourism, Forest, Wildlife and environment. The training started from 03rd September and expects to end today - 4th September 2018 at Lash Garden, Arusha.

The main objective of the training is to build the capacity to CSOs that works to improve Natural Resources conservation and tourism business by providing them with appropriate knowledge, skills and approaches in analysing policy issues related to wildlife conservation and tourism in Tanzania. It is expected that the trainees will come up with advocacy agenda that will influence policy reforms for better environment for sustainable wildlife conservation and benefit sharing.

Specifically, the training will;  

  • Provide CSOs with simplified advanced skills on policy analysis and advocacy strategies related to conservation of natural resources and tourism.
  • Equip and familiarize participants with advanced knowledge, skills, techniques, approaches, strategies and application to be used when conducting policy analysis and advocacy
  • Establish coordination system for advocacy initiatives at local level that will feed up national joint advocacy strategy

Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) and University of Dar es salaam Business School (UDBS) through centre for Policy Research and advocacy and are facilitating the training
