Local in Climate Change

The Mpingo Conservation Project is a Tanzanian NGO developing Participatory Forest Management and Forest Certification as a combined tool to achieve forest conservation and alleviate rural poverty in south-eastern Tanzania. We have also recently begun adapting our work to access carbon markets through the system known as Reduced Emissions from Deforestation and forest Degradation (REDD).

The CCIAM (Climate Change Impacts, Adaptation and Mitigation) Programme wishes to announce and
call upon researchers from participating institutions to submit research concept notes under the themes
listed below.
