Student project: Analysis of market chain of commercialized biodiversity products in the East Usambara Mountains, Tanga

The Landscape Mosaics project is a 3-year research initiative of the CIFOR-ICRAF Biodiversity Platform to promote flexible and broadly applicable approaches for integrating livelihoods and biodiversity conservation in five tropical landscape mosaics. In the East Usambara Mountains of Tanzania the project is implemented by the Tanzania Forest Conservation Group (TFCG) in collaboration with the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF).

Logistics Coordinator / Research Assistant

We are searching for a logistics coordinator/research assistant to help us out on the evaluation of a USAID Women and Develoment Grant in Tanzania during August-October.

This person would be responsible for helping us contact key infomants we identify for the assessment, setting up meetings with those informants, helping to set up community focus groups/rapid appraisal workshops in selected rural communities, arranging logistic for the field assessment team (e.g. local transportation, accommodations, translators as needed), and providing research assistance to the assessment team.
