Alan Rodgers

Alan has lived and worked in east Africa for over 40 years. Now in official retirement, he defies his friends and colleagues admonishments by working harder and longer hours than ever before as a consultant to the UNDP Global Environment Facility. Alan began his career in Tanzania working in the Selous, and has since worked in environment and development across eastern Africa, as well as a stint in India. He brings a deep knowledge of eastern africa, its geography, fauna and flora, as well as a life time of experience in addressing environment and development challenges.
