Training on Participatory Video
What: A 5-day 'Introduction to Participatory Video' training course that equips participants with the
knowledge and skills to facilitate the Participatory Video process with community groups and organisations.
Learn to facilitate groups to create, direct, film, edit, and share their films in their voice AND
amplify the power of their relationship with self, others, and the world.
The course is led by Kerry Woodcock and is experiential, participatory, and practical, and includes a
one day fieldwork placement within the local community.
Who: The training course is suitable for development practitioners and group facilitators who are
seeking ways of strengthening and sharing citizens' voices to create more aware and intentional relationships
within and between groups and communities. The training is designed for a maximum of
12 participants. No previous video experience is required, but experience of participatory techniques
and/or group facilitation skills are essential.
