Belgian Survival Fund's Pastoralist Programme in Longido District

The Belgium Survival Fund through TRIAS-Tanzania has given funds to implement a five-year programme in Longido District. The programme shall be implemented by four organisations, namely the Tanzania Natural Resource Forum, Ujamaa Community Resource Trust, Pastoralist Women's Council and Longido Community Development Organization. The representatives of these CSOs together with the consultants drafted the following proposal based on the recommendations of the first phase of the programme.

The main aim of the project is to improve food and livelihood security through improved livestock and tourism. The main components of the programme include service delivery, policy advocacy, capacity building and awareness raising
