Maajabu Films is teaming up with VetAgro (TZ) and GALVmed (UK) to produce a film to promote the vaccination of East Coast Fever, a disease that hits pastoralist cattle hard in Tanzania. Studies about the vaccine show that it greatly increases the survival rate of the livestock, and in turn, improves the livelihoods of the livestock keepers. Vaccinated cattle are able to graze in areas that were formerly restricted due to the prevalence of ECF-carrying ticks.
