TNRF PARTICIPATES IN THE YOUTH AND LAND REGIONAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM IN AFRICA.

The program was a regional event co-organized by the Youth Initiative for Land in Africa (YILAA) and the International Land Coalition (ILC) themed “Youth at the Centre of accountable and inclusive land governance”. The event was held in Benin and Togo from 6th to 10th March 2023. The objective was to bring ILC Africa young leaders to learn from others' experiences on youth actions in achieving land rights in Africa.

Declaration of Indigenous Peoples of Africa on Sustainable Development and Rio +20

In April, representatives of Indigenous Peoples of Africa met in Arusha for a preparatory meeting on sustainable development and Rio+20.  They discussed objectives, themes and substantive matters for indigenous peoples for Rio+20 as well as related to sustainable development more generally.  The meeting resulted in a declaration, which will be shared with African and global leaders.
