Regional Coordinator-Agriculture/ Livestock
 Regional Coordinators ensure effective planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of project components that improve household income of rural small and marginal poor farmers/livestock keepers.

Job responsibilities

  • Ensure effective implementation of the Agriculture/Livestock program in the concerned area and to produce results as per project plan.
  • Implementation of effective monitoring and evaluation tools and produce an analysis with project participants.
  • Liaising and interacting with concerned NGOs and Private sectors as per need of the program implementation.
  • Ability to build strong market links for poor rural producers on increasing Agriculture/Livestock production.
  • Preparing effective Program work plans, program schedules, monitoring time frame and reporting to project reflection significantly.
  • Provide technical support and training to the Area Coordinator and program Organizer and agriculture farmers. Follow up and supervise program activities.
  • Preparation of different reports like activity reports, progress reports, evaluation reports,
    accounts statements with different time line when required.

Required Qualifications

  • A Master’s/Bachelor degree (preferable in a relevant discipline such as Agriculture, Agronomy, Economics or Business for Agriculture Position and Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine for Livestock Position)
  • At least 2 to 3 years “working knowledge” and experience in implementing agriculture/livestock development program.
  • Experience in managing a team and collaborate and coordinate between different teams to achieve objectives
  • Experience on Making Markets Work for the Poor (M4P)/market development/value chain projects implementation will be an added advantage.
  • Computer skills are necessary.
  • Good interpersonal skills, and ability to work in highly coordinative roles and in cross cultural teams
  • Willingness to travel in different parts of Tanzania
